Internet Access: WIFI is available and there are desktop computers in the entrance lobby. There are also 2 Internet cafes at the beach.
Nearest Chemist: Agros village is 10 minutes by car.
Nearest Hospital: A small modern Medical Centre in Agros village, but the main hospital is in Corfu town.
Newspapers: Newspapers in several languages can be bought in the shops near the beach.
Water Quality: The water is considered safe but most English visitors drink bottled water available everywhere.
Weather: Corfu has its share of showers, some heavy, particularly in early and late season, but the main holiday weeks are usually very dry and hot. Great care must be taken to protect against the sun's rays particularly on the beach where there is often a cooling breeze to trap the unwary sun bather.
Local Bus Service: One per day during the summer to Corfu town at very cheap fares for an interesting non-guided excursion. --about 10.25 a.m. daily (not Sundays) from beach (picks up outside Theo's) --- return leaves the town at 4.30 p.m. (NOTE: In early summer 2018 THIS bus does not come past the hotel due to road problems. Instead it has been re-routed and after starting at Costas Golden Beach Hotel goes via Dafni,;Agros; Arkadades and then to Corfu town. Also it obviously misses Pagi village !)

Walking: There are some lovely walks around Agios Georgios to meet the requirements of both keen walkers and pleasure strollers. These range from walks in the quiet olive groves and small cultivated fields to longer ones to the headlands overlooking the bay. An excellent booklet by Lance Chilton with detailed map is usually on sale at reception. In addition for detailed descriptions of some local walks click here (opens another window).

The Corfu Trail, the long-distance walk the length of the island, comes through Agios Georgios on what some say is the most beautiful section. Being only 200m from the route Theo's Hotel is sometimes chosen by walkers of this trail, who are doing it independently, as a comfortable stop-over for one or two nights. Such short-term guests are welcome.

We can easily arrange car hire for you with reliable local companies at the most reasonable rates possible. (It is usually recommended on Corfu internet forums by regular travellers to book locally on arrival for the best prices rather than before travelling.)

Just ask Theo a couple of days before it is needed.Your car will be delivered to the hotel and collected when your hire period has finished.

There are 2 places to hire Motor Bikes, scooters and quad bikes within a few minutes walk.

Mountain bikes can sometimes be hired on the beach road in the middle of the resort

The basis of the booking is B&B (bed and breakfast) which will be Continental Breakfast only (Greek style). Our breakfasts may be Buffet style. It should be noted that various forms of Cooked Breakfasts, including 'full English' can be purchased reasonably (ask for menu).

We are contracted to Thomsons for most of the holiday season.

Independent guests will ONLY be able to book with us for the months of MAY and late SEPTEMBER . If any of our new friends and old ones too, can manage to take a holiday during those 2 months we shall be very pleased to accommodate you. Our prices are cheaper than many self-catering 2-person apartments and include breakfasts.Transfers from the airport or port can be arranged.

The month of May in Corfu is a beautiful month and many regular visitors love it, especially walkers. The countryside is fresh and green with many wild flowers (link to flowers which will open new page). Usually the weather is pleasantly warm with the occasionally rainy day but it can be hot enough for sunburn. The sea is still cool compared with late summer but warm enough for some visitors. Visitors in October can often enjoy an 'Indian summer' with many sunny days and blue skies. However there is more chance some wet days and the occasional Mediterranean storm. The sea is still warm from the heat of the summer sun. Visitors will enjoy Corfu's 'second Spring' as thousands of small wild flowers are stirred into life to carpet the roadsides.

Please book direct with us via email.
